Using social media to find work
As I've taught this series of classes for the past year, I've noticed that the vast majority (75+% maybe?) of attendees are in job transition. Although the focus of this certificate series isn't specifically to find work, social media can really help you do so.
Social media is important to your job search because employers and recruiters are using social media more while using job boards and newspapers less. More and more employers review candidates' online profiles, so it's important for you to understand how to use social media to best demonstrate your talents, experience, knowledge, and career goals to potential employers.
And it's also important to realize that your social media posts can get you fired! Here are some resources:
